day 13

To Know the Gift of God and His Grace to Receive the Power of His Promises

God’s grace is His supernatural help to do what we can’t do.  His promises are a yes and an amen!  We can trust Him to accomplish His Word as we do our part.  Our part is to do our best to follow Him and obey His commandments!

 Prayer

Father, I know the greatest gift anyone could have is the free gift of salvation through Jesus’ completed work at the cross.  Your grace has saved me and is for me!  Thank you, Lord!  As more and more I become a ‘doer’ of your Word and not just a ‘hearer’, your blessings flow into my life.  I declare your Word and I am confident that your promises are a yes and an amen.  Your promises apply to me!  Holy Spirit continue to lead me and guide me into your truth so that I continue to increase in your freedoms and liberty. Thank you for your help!  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

God’s gift of salvation is free, but it will cost you laying down your will and your desires to seek Him and His kingdom first.  Think about changes in your life today that you can make to more closely follow Him.

Read These Scriptures

Ephesians 2:8-10

 Hebrews 10:36-39

 James 1:22-25

 John 16:13

8God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.  Ephesians 2:8-10

36Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. 37“For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. 38And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” 39But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.  Hebrews 10:36-39

22But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.24You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.  James 1:22-25

13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.  John 16:13
