day 16

The Riches of His Glory

We are told in I Timothy 6:17-19 not to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God who gives richly all things to enjoy.  God lays out for us how we are to enjoy life.  This enjoyment of life is not all about accumulating money!  That is the world’s way.  Follow God and discover the true riches money can’t buy.

 Prayer

Father, thank you for meeting all my needs today according to the riches of Your glory.  How amazing it is that you walk on streets of gold and that you have prepared a marvelous place for me to live – forever with you and all the family of God!  I purpose that in whatever I do, I will do it as unto you O God.  I will not be motivated to please people but to please you, Father!  As I serve you God, you reward me.  You bring streams of living water into the dry areas of my life and you cause crooked places to be made straight!  Thanks be unto God who always causes me to triumph in Christ Jesus.  I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Do you have needs in your life?  Talk to God about the specific needs you have and as you read the following scriptures, apply God’s Word to these circumstances.  Begin to thank Him for meeting the need(s).  We thank Him before we see the manifestation.  That is faith!  Believing God for His promise, even though we don’t see it yet.

Read These Scriptures

 Philippians 4:19

 John 14:3

 Colossians 3:23-25

 Hebrews 11:6

 Isaiah 44:3

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Ephesians 3:16

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19

When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

John 14:3

But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. 25Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. 24Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 23 For God has no favorites.  Colossians 3:23-25

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.  Hebrews 11:6

For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.   Isaiah 44:3

This is what the LORD says: “I will go before you, Cyrus, and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.  Isaiah 45:2

But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.
