Monthly prayers for our community

Each month we will be praying for a local organization in our community.  This month we are praying for our Elections and Leaders.  Please pray this:

Prayer Precepts

We have a God-given responsibility to pray for our elected/non-elected leaders before we pray for other things (I Tim. 2:1-4).  Secondly, God has given us the responsibility and privilege to vote. He will show us how to research the candidates/issues and will give us wisdom how to vote. After the elections, the Lord will direct us to speak up on issues and to provide our leaders with the godly perspective.

We need to keep our mouths in line with the faith words spoken in prayer; i.e., don’t complain, criticize or curse.  When we follow our prayers with action, we can change the course of our nation, state and local governments.  Leaders guided by God appoint the right people to positions of authority (like judges or cabinet members) and pass godly legislation, all of which has a ripple effect on our freedoms.

The last day to register to vote in the upcoming Presidential primary is February 18, 2020. You can register online at: registertovote.ca.gov.  The California Secretary of State website has info about who is on the ballot and the ballot measures too. Raise up your godly voice in this land.

Prayer

Father, in Jesus’ Name, we give thanks for the leaders of our nation, state and local governments.  We hold up in prayer before You all leaders who are or will be in positions of authority--the president, senators, representatives, judges, governors, mayors, supervisors, superintendents of schools, principals, policemen, military and other leaders.  We ask that skillful and godly wisdom will enter into the current and future leaders and that scriptural knowledge would be pleasant to them.  We declare that discretion watches over our leaders and understanding keeps them from evil.

We pray for each of the candidates in the upcoming elections and ask that You will reveal their true positions, intentions and character.  We declare there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed and any ulterior motives, plans or schemes of the enemy will come to light. We ask that You will protect all the candidates from harm.

We ask specifically for wisdom to know who to vote for in these elections.  We choose not to vote based on a desire for personal/financial gains or governmental perks, for that would be selfish and disobedient.  You are our provider, not the government.  We believe to hear from heaven about Your choices for we are asking in Jesus’ name, and we will vote as You direct us.

Father we ask for leaders who are blameless in Your sight, ones that reverence, honor and love You and Your righteous cause. We want leaders of integrity that will be obedient to Your will concerning Israel, the unborn, the Church and the people so that the gospel will continue to go forth in and from this country and that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  We also ask for leaders that will uphold the constitution and our form of government.

We ask that the wicked would be cut off from holding positions in our government. May every person that seeks their own glory and power be rooted out along with the treacherous, hateful, and divisive people who work against Your will.

We hold the blood of Jesus over each polling place, over all the voting software/hardware and over every voter and worker. Station Your angels at each voting station to minister truth and righteousness to the people. In Jesus’ name we come against any attempts to silence the voice of the righteous or to change the constitutional form of government, whether through the voting process, manipulation of redistricting boundaries or attempting to change the electoral college. We thank You that these elections will be free from fraud, from manipulation of votes/outcomes, errors and from fear.  We believe and thank You that Your will, righteousness and goodness will prevail in these elections, all to Your glory.

Your Word declares that “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”  We receive Your blessing, Father.  You are our nation’s/state’s/county’s/city’s stronghold and refuge in times of trouble.  So we declare with our mouths that Your people dwell safely in this land, and we prosper abundantly. We are one nation under God, indivisible. In You alone do we trust. Jesus is Lord over California, the Inland Empire, and Redlands (and your city).

We give thanks to You for the United States and the leaders You have given us now and in the future, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Calling in the saints

After 20+ years of having the same chairs in the sanctuary, we were finally able to get brand new chairs.  We bought more chairs than what we initially had, and now we are standing and praying for more families to fill in these chairs.  We are calling in the saints and praying that God will plant more people at Redlands Christian Center.

Salvation for our family and friends

We are currently praying for our friends' and family members' salvation.  We enourage you to submit anyone you know that needs to know the Lord and accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior.  Throughout the month, our PR-Air Force team will pray for these names.
