day 14

Recognize We Are ‘Builded’ Together A Holy Habitation of God

We are the body of Christ and there are all kinds of different parts.  God puts us together and we complete His Body with Jesus as our Head.  We each need to do our part and keep our individual temples clean and working properly so the whole body is healthy and ‘holy’ for God to dwell in!

 Prayer

Father, your Word teaches me that “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.  Your Word tells me to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report. I believe I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for helping me to see myself as a joint-heir with Jesus.  As a joint-heir, I am seated with Christ.  I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Put a new picture of yourself in the frame of your mind.

Read These Scriptures

I Corinthians 3:16

 I Corinthians 6:19

I Corinthians 12:18

Ephesians 2:3-6

 Ephesians 2:18-22

 Romans 12:1-2

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?  I Corinthians 3:16

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,  I Corinthians 6:19

All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. 4But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:3-6

18Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. 19So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.  21We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.  Ephesians 2:18-22

1And so, dear brothers and sisters,Do2 I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. n’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  Romans 12:1-2
